Noel history dates back to 1921 when Henry Noel opened his fist shoe making workshop. With the assistance of few workers, he began to produce the shoes worn at the time: leather clogs with wooden soles. Joined by his brother Edward in 1928 the two founded the company "Noel Freres" specializing in manufacture of shoes for children and men. The due were responsible for further development of the company. In 1955 Xavier Noel, Edward’s son joined the company and increased its growth. In 1970's the company was ranked 8th among the 360 existing shoe manufacturers in France. Production reached 3 mln pairs of shoes. Noel Feres became Noel France SA in 1979. The company modernized its production, advertised on TV with famous personalities, made seasonal adjustments to shoe production and began concentrate on exports to compensate for the extensive overhaul of the shoe sector in France. In 1991 the company expanded by buying famous Minibel brand and Babybottle and instantly captured a wide range of local and international customers. Today, Noel is a key leader in children shoe manufacturing in France. Thanks to expertise, technology and collaboration with international design offices, the Noel Group is expanding into new markets throughout the world.
